Mimi found viBe in 2012 when she auditioned for and performed in her first viBeSolos show; which led her to perform on amazing stages at the Here Theater (2012-2014), the Women Center Stage Festival (2013), and the Mark O’Donnell Theater (2018-2020). In 2014 and 2018, Mimi interned with viBe and has grown to be the Operations Assistant, Programs Manager, Operations Director, and now one of the Co-Executive Director (and an alum) of viBe Theater Experience (viBe) alongside her colleague, and sister-friend, Beryl Briane Ford.

Michelan is also a literary and performance artist whose work has been published in literary magazines such as Brown Sugar Lit and Rewrite the Stars. Michelan LOVES the process of artistic, personal, and professional development and the growth that is experienced through it; and is proud to be a young leader under the age of 30 who inspires and nurtures black empowerment, creativity, wellness, and community-building.
